Northern Westchester is a term often used by residents to describe the area North of Route 287. Northern Westchester tends to be much more suburban and rural than the southern portion of the county which tends to be more urban. Northern Westchester is known for having lots of greenspace and many parks. Some of the most expensive homes in the county are found in northern Westchester as well as a variety of horse farms. The Metro-North railway provides commuter service into Grand Central and the major highways like the Taconic, Saw Mill and Route 684 make for reasonable commuting times into the city. Come join the residents of Northern Westchester and enjoy a country style living amongst the wildlife with large yards, plenty of garden space, and room for the kids to run!
